Financial expert and comedian Jasmine Birtles is to do a Fringe first this year – she’s offering a comedy show with genuine financial hints and tips to help you get rich…and the whole show is free! The show, called ‘How to be Rich Without Really Trying’ will be on for just one week – from 7^th-14^th August – and is part of the Free Fringe.

“Personally I’m sick of the way prices have gone through the roof at the Fringe in recent years,” says Jasmine, “so when I heard of the Free Fringe which doesn’t charge for shows, I thought the deal was too good to miss.”

Jasmine, who is author of 35 books including ‘A Girl’s Best Friend Is Her Money’ and ‘A Bit on the Side: 500 Ways to Boost Your Income’, will give audiences genuine advice on how to save thousands each year and how to make their money grow without effort. Incredibly, she’ll do it with gags, sketches and even songs and she won’t even be trying to sell a dodgy property-investing course at the end of it.

“Who says money can’t be funny,” says Jasmine. “Don’t you laugh out loud when you open your credit card statement? Aren’t pensions hilarious? Isn’t Gordon Brown a total scream? Oh come on! You’ve got to laugh or else you’d cry!
