Have you ever seen a comedian
die onstage? Comedy improvisation as youve never seen it before. Two teams compete to win favour
with the judge and the audience by any means necessary. The stakes are high the loss of much
more than their dignity. Grotesque and ridiculous forfeits mean that the performers are playing a very
dangerous game. As they each battle to outlive the other pitiable players, YOU get to decide who will
triumph and whose head will roll.
Deathmatch is being performed in the
atmospheric surroundings of gothic theme bar The Jekyll and Hyde
Pub. Why not come and sample some of their notorious test-tube shots or have a bite to eat
if
you can stand to eat while you watch Deathmatch,
that is!
2headedpigeon Productions made
their Fringe debut in 2004 with A Wolf at the Door, and now
bring their reputation for challenging and accessible work to improvisational comedy for the 2006
festival. Previous work by the company has included an adaptation of Pat Barkers novel Regeneration,
a devised piece entitled Respiration, Becketts Endgame and Suspect Cultures Casanova.
In
Deathmatch, the audience can experience
the very essence of the Fringe Festival: innovative comedy bursting with new creative talent
for
FREE! Deathmatch promises to take you on a
surreal journey into the unhinged minds of the performers. Who will survive unscathed?
