Imagine
a font obsessed IT consultant, a boss who has a spit problem and a man whose wife is having an affair
with an 8 year old. How about a welsh bloke called Mark who thinks hes Jesus Christ? These are
just a handful of characters who will feature in the half hour sketch show at Lindsays...
Comedy
trio Straitjacket are back at the festival with a week-long
run of their comedy sketch show. The sketch group - from the North East of England - have packed out
venues across the country for the past three years with their dark and surreal comedy material,
including screenings at the Talent Circles Super Shorts film festival.
The
group are writing for a brand new E4 sketch show due for broadcast later this year as well as working
on a host of other projects.
The
trio write, produce and star in their unique show encompassing dark surrealism and feature a range of
accessible characters from a world of their own. As part of the Free Fringe festival, the absurd group
will be making their second appearance at the Edinburgh festival since they formed back in October
2003.
This
show is a must-see and is a culmination of over a years work. The excellent
on-screen performances and intelligent writing provokes
laugh out loud moments in every sketch.
