Just wanted
to get back to you after Saturday night, Kevin McCarron was superb, went down a storm with
the crowd and did a fantastic job both as MC and with his act. There was an ovation at the
end and he got dragged back on stage a couple of times before finally managing to escape
from the mic! It was the first event of this sort I'd organised and I would also like to
thank Kevin for his patience as we came up with the running order for the evening and
changed things about more than a couple of times! Even the owner of the venue wanted
details of how we'd booked him! |

Throughout
the year The Laughing Horse, provides quality comedy entertainment through our network of
comedy shows, or for numerous one-off events - With a varied selection of acts and styles
available, every event is tailored to suit your particular party or your requirements for
entertainment.
As well as fund-raisers for Schools and
charities, aimed at the parents, adult fundraisers and PTA's, we can also provide shows
for children, with a selection of acts who provide stand-up for children and teenagers,
along with pantomime style acts, clowns and even young stand-up comics.
In the past year we have helped raise funds
through successful nights for The Starlight Foundation, Index on Censorship, South London
Storm, Comic Relief and Children in Need. |

How a
Fundraiser Works...
The way a fundraiser works is simple, we charge a flat-rate
for the show package (at a discount to the shows listed on this site) - and if needed we
can also supply the PA system and venue - you advertise and charge people to come to the
the show, and we can help by publicising the event in listings magazines and local papers
if that is what you want, and we will also provide full support in staging the event,
including the provision of a stage manager on the night.
On top of the comedy show you can add music or a DJ, food
or a buffet and other any other items to help attract more people to come along. Comedy
works well as an evening on it's own, or as part of a bigger event.
Acts for your Show...
You can choose the comedians for your event if you would
like to, or leave that to us - once you have told us what you want, and we have a budget
we can book in comedians who meet your particular specifications, including age-range,
gender, culture, background – just ask, and you will be surprised by the wide range
of comedy acts that are available. Supply us with information about your organisation or
School, and most comedians will be able to produce humour directly relating to you, and
the highly experienced MC’s of our events will always make sure everyone feels at
home, and has a wonderful time. |

can supply cabaret and musical comedians to bring a slightly different feel to your event,
along with a lot of belly laughs - and we can pick and choose from our extensive range of
acts to make it a very special line up, tailored to your own specific needs.. |

Just a quick note to say a huge thank you for The
Hub's comedy night last week. The feedback on the night was that everything, food,
comedians, pub etc. was fantastic and that everyone had a great time! There were a number
of sore heads the next morning and some rather green faces! |

Our usual criterion for a selecting acts for a show is to book acts
that we feel promote a good atmosphere, and are incredibly funny. These acts will be those
that will not mortally offend anyone present, however if that it is what you require we
can provide shows from those acts that are completely inoffensive, to some completely
outrageous – the choice is yours.
Once you have decided on comedy for your fundraiser, you can look
further at options for any food that you want, and where the best
place to hold your event is - school assembly halls are ideal for comedy shows, as most of
the equipment, and a stage area is there, and local councils are usually very agreeable to
permit temporary alcohol licenses for the sale of drinks, if that is what you want to do
(it is a good way of generating extra revenue on the night) - for other
organisations, community centres, halls, theatres or pubs are an option - or one of our
regular show venues - the choice is yours.
Modular Packages
Any Laughing Horse Comedy Show Package will contain up to four
modules – the show itself, the venue, food and music; and there are several flexible
options for each one, each can also be booked separately or together, through us or from
another company. In all cases Laughing Horse will work with any other companies or
individuals involved in your show to ensure the event runs smoothly. And don't

Our comedy shows are
separated, for ease of booking into six levels of show, but these are not exclusive and we
can tailor each individual show to your particular needs or budget. On top of this you can
add pre-show and interval entertainment, DJ or table entertainers, or you can just book a
single comedian. |

| Music and Party |
Our standard comedy shows
will include CD Music before, or after a show. You can add to this a DJ, either booked
through us (we use a highly experienced Disco company, Knights Fantastic, which is run by
and uses many Radio DJ’s), or by using your own. We can also supply party packs, or
decorations – alternatively you can bring your own. |

Either by direct contact with
the catering staff at the venue’s we use through the year, or by using your own
caterers – in all cases we feel it is best for you to speak directly regarding the
catering for your event so you can get the menus absolutely to your satisfaction. |

One thing to remember is
comedians do get booked up a long time in advance, so to get the best acts for your show
it is good to start the process as far in advance as possible. We are able to book shows
at very shot notices, and have provided acts in emergency in a few hours, but this is
obviously not ideal!
